Best and safest ways to remove makeup

Removing makeup needs to be done in a correct way in order to keep your skin refreshed and healthy and to avoid drying it. Some women resort to incorrect ways when removing makeup and some other leave makeup on their skin for a long time, and even sleep with it which lead to clogged pores and the appearance of pimples or even an allergy. That’s why it is important to know how to remove makeup in an easy and safe way.

Before buying a makeup remover, you should see what types of removers are found on the market, and look for the best and the gentlest ones on the skin. Make sure to buy an eye makeup remover and a face makeup remover that suits your skin type whether normal, dry, oily or sensitive. Following are steps to remove makeup in a correct way.

It is preferable to remove eye makeup first to prevent face makeup remover from coming in contact with eyes and provoking an allergy. After that, remove your makeup and wash your face well with water, then moisturize it or wipe it with rose water to keep your skin hydrated.

Waterproof mascara is difficult to remove so avoid using soap or any facial wash; this might lead an eye infection or allergy. You can remove it with:

1. Baby oil

Put a little baby oil on a piece of cotton and wipe makeup then rinse your face with warm water without using any soap to get a soft skin.

2. Vaseline

It is one of the best ways to remove makeup and mascara. Put a little Vaseline on a piece of cotton to remove face makeup and use a cotton swab to remove mascara.

3. Olive oil

It is a natural anti-oxidant product that doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients. You can use it to remove waterproof mascara or makeup. Put few drops of oil on a piece of cotton, close your eyes and gently massage your lashes. Repeat this step again then wash your eyes with a cleansing product for sensitive skin; after that rinse well with water.

4. Baby shampoo

It is a soft makeup remover since it contains light chemical ingredients. It is also gentle on the eyes and doesn’t cause infections. Put a little baby shampoo on a cotton swab and wipe mascara then rinse well with warm water. You can also use it to remove your entire face makeup by using a little quantity so as not to dry the skin.
